My  party  were  very  pleased  with  the  service,  you  and  your  company  have  given  us. All  details  that  I  requested  were  delivered  in  style. The  travel, selection  of  golf  courses, accommodation  and  service  were  great. I  would  be  more  than  happy  to  recommend  or  use  your  company  for  future  trips.

I  do  need  to  pass  on  this  information, in  the  hope  that  none  of  your   future  customers  will  experience  what  we  had  to  endure  from  the car  rental  firm,  Goldcar.

On  the  second  last  day  of  our  trip  we  had  the  unfortunate  experience  of  being  robbed  on  the  course  at  Alhaurin. We  discovered  that  this  had  happened  before  on  this  course. The  manager  new  exactly  where  someone  had  stolen  property  from  one  of  our  buggies, while  we  were  on  the  putting  green, just  out  of  site  of  our  clubs. Apart  from  no  warning  of  this,  prior  to  our  first  round, the  Director  Gerente, Rafael Cruz-Conde Roca, did  everything  and  more  to  help  us  deal  with  the  problem  and  enjoy the  following  day, our  last  round  of  the  trip.

The  major  problem  was  the  car  company. The  thieves  had  stolen, money, wallet, credit  cards, phone  and  the  car  key. The  cards  were  taken  from  our  driver, the  person  who  had  signed  for  the  car  on  day  one.  When  we  returned  to  the  club  house  Rafael  contacted  Goldcar  to  request  a  replacement  key  and  was  informed  they  would  phone  back. The  call  never  came  so  one  hour  later  Rafael  and  I  made  contact  and  needed  four  calls  to  discover  that  the  company  would  not  send  a  replacement  key  under  any  circumstance. Goldcar  needed  120  Euros  for  the  replacement  key. I  am  sure  you  will  agree,  an  extortionate  amount. I  offered  to  send  a  taxi  with  the  cash  and  Rafael  offered  his  private  or  company  credit  card  to  pay  for  the  key  and  allow  us  to  return  to  our  hotel. All  of  this  was  refused  and  Goldcar  insisted  we  had  to  go  to  their  office,  at  the  airport,  with  a  passport  and  new  credit  card. This  forced  us  to  get  a  taxi  back  to  our  hotel, some  fifty  minutes  away. The  following  morning  another   taxi  to  the  airport  to  pick  up  the  key, including  a forty  five  minute  wait  for  the  driver  and  on  to  Alhaurin  in  the  taxi.  Goldcar  took  the  details  of  passport  and  credit  card  from  another  member  of  our  party  to  pay  for  the  key.

When  we  returned  to  England  we  discovered  Goldcar  had  used  the  original  credit  card  number, yes, the  one  that  had  been  stolen  and  cancelled  by  our  driver.

We  payed  another  120  euros  for  the  taxi’s  and  lost  £190-00  in  property  and  cash, not  very  pleasant, so  you  will  know  how  we  all  felt  about  the  treatment  from  a  very  unhelpful  company  Goldcar. Not  only  did  they  make  our  misfortune  worse, they  had  the  audacity  to  make  more  profit  from  it.

We  have  not  reclaimed  anything  from  this  unfortunate  incident  but  would  be  delighted  to  receive  recompense  from  Goldcar.
